Let’s look at how you can create a Listen Page to showcase your latest offer.
First, click the 'New' button.
From your Path (dashboard page), click the ‘New’ button in the top right hand corner.
Next, name it.
The title of an offer page is an outlier — it actually doesn’t show publicly on the Listen Page. This means that you can name it anything you wish, whatever suits for your specific records.
(Why do we do this? Well, sometimes you might want to split test the same offer with different headings to see how your audience responds. This allows you to keep track of all the variations, without confusing you or your team.)
Then, choose the content type.
To create an offer listen page, choose ‘Offer’ from the content menu.
Next, choose the page colour.
Choose the colour that suits your aesthetic best.
When in doubt, use black — it works best for a distraction-free environment.
Then, hit the ‘next’ button.
Now it's time for the text.
In the ‘Header Text’ box, write the heading of your offer. Keep it short!
In the ‘Offer Description’ box, write a short summary of what your offer is.
In the ‘Offer Text’ box, write the details about your offer and why your listener should buy.
Then, hit ‘Next’!
You're not quite done yet!
Your Listen Page has been created, but there is one more step that you will need to do in order for this offer page to work correctly.
You see, it’s not just about creating a way to link your listeners to another website to purchase (even though we’ve just done that by creating the Listen Page itself), we also need to know when someone has made a purchase on your website.
For us to know that, you will need to install a small piece of code in your sales website.
You can either do this yourself, or ask your website developer to do it for you.
Most sales platforms allow you to inject code into the <head> (or ‘header’) of your website, so if you see that option, this is where you’ll place the ListenPages pixel.
Copy the ListenPages pixel to your site.
Copy the pixel that ListenPages created for you and inject it into the Thank You page of your website.
Please note: this pixel can’t be anywhere else on your website — it must only be on the Thank You page that a customer sees after they make the purchase.
Also note: This pixel is automatically generated for each individual offer, so don’t copy paste this into multiple websites. Only use this code on the one single Thank You page for the offer you are promoting. If you create another offer, another pixel will be generated for you.
Then it's time to share!
After that bit of work is done, it’s time to get your ListenPages link out into the world!
Take the link that ListenPages has generated for you and share it out to all of your followers.
Your goal is to get as many people clicking on that link and engaging with your content as possible.
When they do, the data will display on your Path.
🎉 That’s it! You know all the basics!
